One minute read.
Daily Reading: Deuteronomy 32:28-52, Luke 12:35-59, Psalm 78:56-64, Proverbs 12:24
Daily Verse: “The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor.” Prov. 12:24
Diligent hands rule.
Hard work and determination do pay off, unlike laziness. Watching a docuseries on the lives of top professional golfers gave me a glimpse at their diligence. Thousands of hours of practice, exercise, and mental preparation go into making them the best in the world.
As a spectator, we see the results of the effort for a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. Not seeing the diligence, just the outcome.
No one achieves success without effort. Lazy people end up working for the diligent. To reach the top, you must do the climb.
Each step takes us further on our journey, but we won’t go anywhere if we refuse to walk. One page at a time, people write books. One task at a time, people become the boss. If you don’t do the work, you won’t receive the reward.
Lazy people work for the diligent.
Lord, forgive us for expecting the reward without effort. Please give us a clear vision of our path to reach our goals. Help us become diligent in our work, honoring You in all we do. IJNIP. Amen
